Waste management or waste disposal is all the activities required to manage waste from its inception to its final disposal. This include among other things collection, transport, treatment and disposal of waste together with monitoring and regulation. It also encompasses the legal and regulatory framework that relates to waste management encompassing guidance on recycling. Waste can take any form that is either solid, liquid, or gas and each have different methods of disposal management. With the ongoing spread of improper waste disposal, how will you reduce waste? What are the possible effects of spread of improper waste disposal? Why is garbage disposal important?
Waste products can be from anything, ranging from physical, chemical to biological and environmental pollutants. There are possible ways to reduce wastes: opt for recycling, say no to plastic bags, opt for cocking at home, avoid throwing electronics in the normal trash, and having a water filter for your fridge and avoid using plastic bottles. There are also a lot of possible effects of improper waste disposal. It can affect our health like skin irritation, problem or abnormality in breathing, lung diseases and more; it can also affect our coastal and marine environment; it can affect our climate by causing air pollution and soil contamination. The improper disposal of hazardous household waste can result contamination, water treatment facilities of septic systems; physical injuries to sanitation workers, unexpected releases of toxins environmental pollution. Hazardous household waste such as corrosive products can possibly contaminate food items and ignite or explode. Proper garbage disposal prevents the spread of diseases and pollution and ensure that environments remain habitable for humans, plants and animals. Garbage comes in many forms and occurs as solid materials, taking the shape of discarded household items like food, scraps, empty bottles, paper plates , utensils and napkins. It also exist in the form of organic waste, medical and pharmaceutical waste.
Many kinds of disease occur because of untidy surroundings, others can no longer intake fresh air. All these are the effects of improper waste management. There are still many of them actually, imagine a single piece of candy wrapper can cause flood to a certain area when you throw it anywhere and others do it also. One car can cause air pollution for it emits smoke. A single lighted cigarette also will do. Dynamite fishing can not only kill fish and corals but also those who will eat those because of the chemical that came from the dynamite they used. These are all caused by human activities. Now thy are asking themselves is't happening to them? others have the guts to accuse our government for poo response. Yes, our government has their own failures but they are not the one to blame. Ask yourself first, how much waste you throw anywhere before blaming others. Only immature people will think they are innocent on what is happening to our country in terms of improper waste management. Do not rely on our government for their actions but do it in your own ways. Start it inside and outside of your place.
